Vote For Your Man of the Match Latics Vs Chelsea

The new Wigan Athletic Man of the Match poll for the Chelsea is available for you to vote in and personally I think it`s a real toughy this week with the whole team playing their part in an excellent victory over the league leaders.

The candidates for me have to be, Titus Bramble, Momo Diame, Hendry Thomas, Charles N`Zogbia, Hugo Rodallega and Paul Scharner.

Bramble was an absolute rock at the back and shackled Drogba all afternoon and got the ball rolling with the opening goal

I thought Diame`s performance was almost world class yesterday, his tackling was spot on, he harried the Chelsea midfield, he carried the ball well and his passing was good all afternoon.

Hendry Thomas was his usual self, solid and clinical in the middle whilst on the right N`Zogbia gave Ashley Cole a torrid afternoon and he nullified the England left backs runs down the line snuffing out a Chelsea threat for the entire game.

Rodallega was superb and created some excellent chances and linked up very well with Jason Scotland, but I feel that Paul Scharner had a massive influence on the team performance and therefore he is my Man of The Match.

His running and energy lifted the whole team, he created space by his movement for others and this helped both Thomas and Diame to be in the game more. He stuck a foot in, something we have been missing in that area of the pitch and he also won more than his fair share of headers throughout the game and he scored the final goal at the death.

Yep Scharner for me not only for his play but also for the influence that he brought to the team, but who is your choice, to vote go to the bottom right of this page select your option and then hit the submit button its that easy.
