Vital Winner Mark Sherman Receives His Prize

Competition winner, Wigan Athletic fan and Vital Latics member Mark Sherman (marks1301) from Ashton collected his prize following yesterdays win over Chelsea at the DW Stadium

Mark picked up Ken Barlow`s fantastic new book Mild and Bitter Were the Days by correctly identifying that the Latics were in the Northern Premier League before election to the Football League back in 1978.

Following the game Mark and Ken met up and had a quick chat about the match, both were delighted with the result and the performance with Mark commenting that he was "absolutely buzzing" and he was suitably `chuffed` not only to have won the book in the Vital competition but also to meet the author in person and have it signed in front of him.

A big thanks to Ken also for supplying a copy of his book as a prize.
