Maynor Figueroa - May Old Acquaintances Be Forgot

Wigan Athletic left back Maynor Figueroa says he is looking forward to meeting up with his old chum Kevin Kilbane when the Latics travel to the KC Stadium on Saturday to take on Killers current side Hull City

Figgy revealed in an interview with the Wigan Evening Post that Kilbane helped him settle when he first arrived from Honduras and that he still rates the Republic of Ireland international as a very good player.

Killer is well known for being a great guy and during his time at the Latics he made many friends but friendship will be put to the backburner on Saturday with Figgy saying it will be interesting but we will still win the game

Speaking to the Post Figgy said: 'Kevin is still a very good player'

'I got on very well with him here, and he helped me to settle in at Wigan.

'It will be very interesting to play against him - but I hope we will win the game, and I think we will.'

Figueroa is still buzzing following last weekends win over Chelsea and the enormity of the occasion wasn`t lost on him, the first win against a top four club has lifted a hoodoo off the Latics and the Honduras international says that it must spur the club on to a win on Saturday, he concluded:'It was great to beat a big team for the first time, and a historic day for the club.

'It will be very difficult on Saturday, but we must go there looking for the three points.'

Nice guy Killer but lets forget that for 90 mins on Saturday

I remember when Watson scored against Hull in that 1-0 win last year, seeing Kilbane try and bicycle it out of the goals. How do you reckon he would have gone in the Martinez era?
