Wigan Athletic - Martinez Knows Where To Focus

Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez says he knows where the team need to improve and focus over the coming months to ensure that the Latics fans enjoy the rest of the season.

Speaking to the clubs official website following last Saturdays defeat at Hull Martinez is quick to point out that although the result was disappointing the performance was still high.

Latics dominated possession but just fell short in the final third and got caught by two defensive errors that cost Martinez` men dearly, but he reckons keeping performances at that level over the course of the season will see Wigan Athletic become a side for people to enjoy, he said:'The level of your performances is what will bring you results over the season.

'If we can maintain that it will become a great strength in our play. Having different dimensions and different ways of winning games is going to be vital this season.

'So far I've been delighted with the reaction of the players to have beaten teams like Aston Villa, West Ham and of course Chelsea, it shows how far we've come.

'On the other hand there was the game against Wolves where we couldn't break them down, and against Hull we didn't get the result to match the performance.

'They are the areas we still need to work on and improve on to fulfil our potential. Once we achieve that we will be a Wigan Athletic side that people enjoy.'

Keep it going Bobby, we`re getting there

There will be a few ups and downs this season but we are on the right track

A few ups and downs, how can you demolish Chelsea and then get duffed at Hull, unbelieveable.

Watched Villa v City yesterday, the had RM on, not seen anything about him until then, Very impressed and complements players and teams where they deserve it. It would seem that Mr Whelan once again has plucked another managerial gem from the lower regions. I wonder how long you will be able to hold onto him?
Buzz Lightyear
I think he could be THE one
worbo
