I've got to hand it to Man City - they're a class above the rest at the moment and despite getting some negative results against Man Utd and Villa, are more than capable of causing an upset at the DW Stadium this afternoon.
City have never won on DW soil, something Mark Hughes and his players will want to put right and I'm sure that the Latics will need to be at their utmost in order to stop the City army from getting their first win at the DW.
That said, City's defence might be a bit makeshift today as a host of their regular back four are struggling to make it to the game today and with Toure and Lescott major doubts, this will bring a little smile to the faces of the Latics players, it has to be said.
Somebody made a comment today about City and their exploits away from home. I for one, being the neutral, have been disappointed with Tevez as he hasn't been as prolific for City as his price tag would suggest. He's a great player, but I think he needs to up his game just a little. He is no doubt a danger man though as most of City's players are.
The colossus that is Bramble will need to marshall Adebayor and Bellamy/Tevez up front. He did a creditable job with Drogba and Anelka, two of the league's most prolific strikers. Now he needs to prove he's got what it takes to deny another two of the league's most prolific strikers!
ROB'S PREDICTION
================
This is going to be a very difficult game. Tevez, Adebayor and Bellamy (if he plays) will be a very difficult prospect and I think that this game will be a very thrilling draw. If truth be told, it could swing more City's way than Wigan's but if we manage to produce the same mettle as we did against Chelsea, we could have a very good chance of maintaining our good record against Manchester City.
Wigan 2 Man City 2
ROB'S FINAL THOUGHT
===================
There's no real pressure on the Latics as of today and if we lost to City, it would not be a disgrace by any stretch of the imagination. A good performance, as many fellow fans would also like, is all I ask for.
Good luck to the Latics and Manchester City for the rest of the season. Personally, I'd love to see City be the dominant force of Manchester as the Red Devils have been there for too long and it'd be nice to see a change!
