What The Bosses Said - Latics Vs City (Video)

Following yesterdays 1-1 draw between Wigan Athletic and Manchester City at the DW Stadium both bosses, Roberto Martinez and Mark Hughes spoke to the press about the game, the incidents and the result, lets see what they had to say:

Latics boss Roberto Martinez:

'We never stopped trying to win the game. We were brave on the ball and we had good possession.

'We also had enough chances to win it. All aspects of the performance were pleasing.

'As against Chelsea, we had great chemistry with the fans and we could and should have sewn it up.

'It was a very pleasing performance from start to finish. We knew our role and we stopped City from playing. But we both wanted to win an entertaining open game.

'Our reaction was good after conceding an equaliser so soon after half-time.

'It's not the first time this has happened but it did not bother us and I was so pleased with the strength we showed.'




City boss Mark Hughes:

'Going down to 10 men made things more difficult. We showed quality in getting men behind the ball and making sure we got something out of the game.'
