Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez says that it is time for his Latics side to start showing consistency as they approach what many believe to be a tough encounter with Burnley at Turf Moor.
Following on from last weeks good display against Manchester City, Martinez realizes that the form must be continued into Saturdays game and the improvement to be constant if the Latics are indeed to be a force in the Premier League and challenge for Europe.
The plaudits have started over the way the Latics play and the image is very positive with some great comments from pundits but speaking to the clubs official web site Martinez now wants the performances to start yielding wins.
The Spaniard says: 'We were all obviously very happy with performance against Man City last week, and with the game being on television a lot of people saw Wigan Athletic properly for the first time, which is important for our image'
'On the other hand there was a little disappointment after playing so well and being so dominant not to come away with the win. It's important that we understand what we did well and where we need to improve, and take that into the next game against Burnley.
'We know want to find consistency in our results and in our performances, and I think we're in a position now where we should be able to do that."
Burnley have a fantastic home record and the Latics boss is well aware of the challenge ahead but he stresses that the he looking forward to the game and he is confident that a result can be achieved, he continued: 'As we know they have an excellent home record this season, the best in the league, and the game is something to look forward to.
'Owen Coyle's team has carried on their momentum from last season and have a solid group of players, who give their team different dimensions.
'We know it'll be a tough environment and the biggest challenge for us will be to impose ourselves on the game and compete against a team with a high tempo and who make it difficult for the opposition to make a break-through.
'We have two doubts in Paul Scharner and Chris Kirkland. Scharner has a hip problem and he'll be assessed in the next two sessions before the game, and Chris is also 50-50 and will too be assessed over the next 24 hours.'
