Latics Look at Young Boys Star Seydou Doumbia

Wigan Athletic are reportedly lining up a swoop for Young Boys of Switzerland striker Seydou Doumbia who has been attracting the interest of a host of European clubs including Fulham and Borussia Dortmund.

The 21 year old Ivory Coast international has bagged an incredible 33 goals in just 43 appearances for the Swiss club and was the leagues top scorer in 2008 with 20 goals despite only starting 8 games.

Sources close to the Latics say that Seydou Doumbia is only one of five players identified by boss Roberto Martinez to come into the club in January, as always Vital Latics will bring you the news as soon as we get it.

Martinez certainly likes his young boys and Seyduo Doumbia of Young Boys is definitely a young boy that Martinez likes the look of, if you get my drift

Bloody hell, he looks fantastic! I know it's only a youtube video, but still some of those goals are unbelievable....could be a good shout for January, I've seen £2m quoted as a potential price, surely an absolute bargain!

yeah impressive numbers and an impressive video... looks like he's worth a shout... only 2 caps though according to wiki, might be a touch hard to bring him in (unless he's part French or something similar)
