Wigan Athletic - Martinez Looks To Pompey Game

Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez says that it will be tough at Portsmouth on Saturday and that the South Coast club will be fighting for their lives when the Latics face them

Martinez believes that Pompey are in a false position though and that their performances don`t warrant the club to be struggling at the bottom of the league and he stresses that the Latics will need to carry on the high level of performances that they have shown of late to get anything from the game.

Once again the Latics boss says that he will be focusing on the performance but stated that he realises any points picked up are good points, Martinez says: 'It obviously will be tough, and we know that due to Portsmouth's situation.

'They had a positive result at Hull last week and will want to carry that on at home.

'But we need to carry on at the same level as we showed against Manchester City and Burnley.

'I feel Portsmouth have been very unfortunate this season - if you look at their performances, I don't think they are reflected by the position they are in.'

'Any points are good points, but I'm still focusing on the level of performance.'

I think it will be a tough game on Saturday but I still fancy us for a 2-1 win
