Chris Kirkland Wigan Athletic MotM

Chris Kirkland has been voted the Vital Latics Man of the Match for Wigan Athletic in last Saturdays game at Portsmouth and for a goalkeeper to pick up the MotM award when his side loses 4-0 says a lot about the rest of the players

There wasn`t a real lot to shout about as far as performances were concerned and has a team the Latics struggled to get to grips with Pompey a far cry from recent performances against Burnley and Manchester City.

For the record the voting was:

Chris Kirkland - 40%
Scott Sinclair - 11%

The new poll is available on the right side of this page and it is asking are the club right to sack disgraced striker Marlon King?

King was sentenced to 18 month imprisonment last week for sexual assault and ABH following an attack on a young women in a London night club last December and following the verdict and sentence being announced Latics chairman Dave Whelan was quick to come out and sack King.

There has been quite a lot written in the press over the past few days and I haven`t seen one article saying that Whelan was wrong and personally I agree with the move, but what do you think?

There are several options in the poll, just choose the one that you agree with and hit the submit button, its that easy.

Keeper was MOTM and we lost 4-0. What a game it must have been...

What a game it was! Doesn't surprise me one bit that Kirkland was voted MOTM
