Wigan Athletic are being linked as showing interest in Ivory Coast and Nice midfield man Kafoumba Coulibaly who is returning to action for the Ligue 1 side following being out for a while with a hamstring tear.
Although he caught the eye with some impressive performances last season the fact that the 24 year old has only one cap for his country would make it nigh on impossible to gain a work permit for the UK so his two reported suitors, Latics and Fulham would have to wait a while before they could sign him.
Speaking to Sky Sports Coulibaly says that he is aware of interest and he would love to move to the Premier League but he realises that it wont happen just yet, he said: 'Clubs have been looking at me since last season before my injury'
'I had a hamstring problem and tore it when I wanted to make a comeback.
'Now I'm fine, though, and hopefully I can stay fit for the African Nations Cup and World Cup.
'To be linked with a move to the Premier League is fantastic and hopefully I can play there one day.'
