Wigan Athletic - Jackson Martinez Catches The Eye

Roberto Martinez is reportedly eyeing up the international team mate of Latics man Hugo Rodallega, Colombia international striker Jackson Martinez according to Spanish sports news site fichajes.net

Jackson Martinez is currently playing for Independiente Medellin in Colombia and he is certainly catching the eye with the Latics, Panathinaikos of Greece and Mexican club América de México all showing an interest in the 23 year old

A pacey forward who is taking South America by storm and he`s already bagged 13 goals in 16 games for his club so far this season, a UK work permit may be a problem with Martinez just featuring 3 times for Colombia but because he is rated as the top Colombian prospect special dispensation can be granted

A fee of around 5 million US Dollars (£3.5m) is being asked by his club

We could do with another forward. This guy looks pretty good but I still have my heart set on Huseklepp in Jan!
