Lawro Predicts - Latics Vs Fulham

Former Liverpool defender and current Match of the Day pundit Mark 'Lawro` Lawrenson has done his weekly round of predictions for the BBC and he is predicting that the game between Wigan Athletic and Fulham at the DW Stadium will end in a home win, lets see what his reasons are:

Wigan v Fulham

It was a fine result for Fulham last week and highlights how good a manager Roy Hodgson is. He set his team up well against Liverpool, allowing them to come on to his players before Fulham opened the game up and scored in the second half.

But Wigan have been doing well and getting fired up against the top teams but have also conceded a lot of goals. They are a team full of athletes and are a tough team on their day and they may sneak this one.

Verdict: 2-1

Well I agree with the verdict Lawro but I feel you have picked us because we are the home side and you love to play the percentages, Fulham are an excellent team but with their exploits in Rome and the disappointment of losing and having two sent off coupled with our ability to play against footballing sides will see the Latics through to a nervy but deserved 2-1 home win.
