Charles N`Zogbia Latics Man of the Match

Charles N`Zogbia Latics Man of the Match

The Wigan Athletic Man of the Match in Sundays game against Fulham at the DW Stadium as voted for by Vital Latics members is Charles N`Zogbia.

Little Charlie put in quite simply a magnificent performance, arguably his best in his time with the club, he was busy for the full 90 minutes even though he dropped to left back on 78 when the exhausted Erik Edman had to go off.

N`Zogbia was unlucky not to score on two separate occasions, in the first half he went on a run and unleashed a venomous shot from 30 yards which was heading for the top corner until Fulham keeper Mark Schwarzer somehow got his fingers to it and tipped the ball onto the crossbar and then over for a corner.

In the 2nd half Little Charlie went on a mazy run leaving defenders in his wake and hit a stunning drive along the floor which had Schwarzer at full stretch to parry the ball away, he kept the Fulham defence busy all afternoon had they put two men on him for much of the game, superb performance.

For the record the voting went:

Charles N`Zogbia - 51%
Momo Diame - 22%
Chris Kirkland - 11%

One of his best. Him and Rodallega were popping up on both flanks, in the middle, causing a lot of problems for Fulham. Hope we see a lot more from him like this.
