Johnny Palacios Heading to Wigan in January

Wigan Athletic are expecting to sign their second Palacios with Wilsons brother Jonny due to join the Latics in the next transfer window.

Of course Latics sold Wilson Palacios to Spurs for £14 million this year, but with Hendry Thomas and Maynor Figueroa at the DW Stadium Johnny wont feel too home sick.

The 22 year old defender is currently playing for Deportivo Olimpia and he has recently become a permanent fixture in the Honduras national side that qualified for next summers World Cup Finals in South Africa.

Johnny Palacios was due to join in summer but there would have been problems with his work permit but now that he is an established international there shouldn`t be too much trouble getting the paper work sorted.

The young Palacios plays either centre-back or right back and would give Latics captain Mario Melchiot a bit of competition for a place in the starting eleven.
