Wigan Athletic - DW Stadium To Host Youth Tie

Wigan Athletic have announced that their 3rd round FA Youth Cup tie against Spurs will now be played at the DW Stadium and not Robin Park Arena as first reported.

The tie will take place on Wednesday 9th December with a 7pm kick-off, the Springfield Stand will be the only stand in use for supporters and the club are allowing Latics season ticket holders free admission to the game by producing their current season ticket at the turnstiles on the night, normal admission cost is 5 for adults or 1 for juniors.

Latics youth team boss Dave Watson says he is looking forward to a good crowd to create a special atmosphere for the game, Watson told the official website: 'It will be a great opportunity for the lads to play in the stadium, many for the first time, and I hope we manage to get a crowd in there to create a good atmosphere.

'It's going to be a tough game for them, but they will be up for it and will go into the game with the belief they can win.'

The Latics Hit 2000 Points Milestone

Wigan Athletic achieved their 2000th point as a league club in the 1-1 draw with Fulham

You must have some fantastic memories of games that we have achieved points in over the years, and you must have a favourite that sticks out, either from the mists of time like that first win against Rochdale or something more recent like breaking our hoodoo against Chelsea, why not jot them down and send them in and Vital Latics will publish them under the heading 2000 Memories.
