Wilson Palacios Looking Forward to Reunion

Former Wigan Athletic midfield man Wilson Palacios is definitely looking forward to facing his old club for the first time when he lines up in the Tottenham midfield for the Premier League clash between Spurs and Latics.

Palacios spent a year at the DW Stadium and made a lot of friends during his stay at the club and it seems the banter leading up to the game started a while ago, Wilson explains:: 'I still have many friends at the club and I've had three weeks of them talking to me about the game, sending me loads of texts.'.

Palacios will also come up against a good friend and international colleague in Hendry Thomas who signed for the Latics six months after Wilson departed and the two Honduras midfield dynamo`s will lock horns and put friendship aside for 90 minutes at least.

Thomas is more of an enforcer than Palacios and he is currently the Premier Leagues top tackler, making the most tackles and having the highest percentage of successful ones also.

So what does Wilson think of Hendry? Palacios says: 'Hendry is a good player but I wouldn't say that he is similar to me'

'We don't really share the same style and I believe we like to play a different sort of game but, nonetheless, he is hard to play against."
