Ian Marrow - The Beard Has Gone

Wigan Athletic fan Ian Marrow contacted Vital Latics a few weeks ago to see if we would support him in a feat that was quite literally hair raising and seeing as it was for Children in Need we couldn`t really say no now could we.

Anyway the crux of it all is that Ian had agreed to shave off his beard after growing it for the past 25 years if his work colleagues could raise £1,000, this was achieved quite easily and the bar was raised to £2,000.

Any way on Friday the deed took place and now Ian has a hairless chin and Children in Need are just over £1,600 better off, but Ian is trying to reach the magical £2,000 barrier and will leave his charity page up and running for a little while longer, so if you feel like donating you can do so at justgiving.co.uk
