Tottenham V Wigan: Clash Of The Hondurans

Wigan travel to Spurs to face Harry Redknapp's Tottenham Hotspur. Harry Redknapp has done a fantastic job and both managers have heaped praise on the other. Good for both of them, I say.

This is an interesting game as its Wilson Palacios vs Hendry Thomas. I can just see both of them going in for the tackle on each other. Should make for a mouth watering contest between the pair.

Palacios had earlier stated he considered quitting football due to the unfortunate circumstances of what happened to his brother, but its with great heart that he decided to continue playing in his brother's memory.

Erik Edman will continue in place of another honduran, who will be disappointed not to play due to a knee ligament injury but the injury to Maynor is not as bad as first feared.

It should make for a cracking game but I must say I didn't very much like the match prediction on Sky Sports. 4-0 to Tottenham? I think not. Roberto will have analysed the Portsmouth game and realised where the errors were and the lads would've been working on that.

I do believe Wigan will cause Tottenham problems today and vice versa but it will be a tough battle. Its not going to be easy.

This is hard to predict as the Latics have a decent enough record against Tottenham and Tottenham haven't been firing on all cylinders - add to that their injury list as well and it might make for quite a tense match.

ROB'S PREDICTION
================

This is a hard one to predict for me as the Latics have been fairly decent away from home and Spurs haven't been that great at home. I do think that Spurs will adopt a positive approach due to their win over Sunderland but the Latics will be eager to dispel memories of their past away performance. I personally believe that it was down to a case of Portsmouth putting in a shift the Latics didn't expect. However, this will not be the same case at White Hart Lane but I see a disappointment on the cards for Wigan because as they are at home, I expect that Spurs will have that little bit extra. Just, mind!

Tottenham Hotspur 2 Wigan 1

ROB'S FINAL THOUGHT
===================

The premier league is so open this season and what's happened to Liverpool? I don't think the title will be going to Anfield but its difficult not to feel a bit of sympathy for the Reds and their fans. I think that Chelsea will do it this year and it'll be nice to have a change and besides that, no club has ever done a quadruple.

On a side note, apologies for not doing a Wigan v Fulham preview as I was on holiday.

COME ON LATICS!

See you next time for what'll hopefully be a home win at the DW Stadium and here's hoping we get something at Tottenham!

There's no need for comments like this. Just disrespectful in my eyes. We had a very bad day and fans feel bad enough as it is. Let the Spuds have their moment of glory but don't rub our noses in it!
