Now I know the Premier League is popular but following Latics humiliating defeat at the hands of Spurs on Sunday we seem to have hit the headlines in some peculiar spots around the globe.
There are the usual suspects, The Sydney Herald, New York Times, we even made the North East with both the Sunderland Echo and The Northern Echo (Middlesbrough) but the strangest one for me has to be The Himalayan Times who report Tottenham Run Riot Over Wigan
`Spurs were only 1-0 up at the break, thanks to a goal by Peter Crouch before fellow England striker Defoe ran riot after half-time with Aaron Lennon, an own-goal by Chris Kirkland and Niko Kranjcar`s 90th minute effort adding to the North London club`s tally.`
The Himalayan Times
The Himalayan Times I ask you, the highest point on Earth and they are talking about the Latics, we are truly on top of the world.
I`m alright Yak!

The Latics Hit 2000 Points Milestone
Wigan Athletic achieved their 2000th point as a league club in the 1-1 draw with Fulham
You must have some fantastic memories of games that we have achieved points in over the years, and you must have a favourite that sticks out, either from the mists of time like that first win against Rochdale or something more recent like breaking our hoodoo against Chelsea, why not jot them down and send them in and Vital Latics will publish them under the heading 2000 Memories.
Send your favourite match memories to 2000 Memories@vital ![]()
