Wigan Athletic - Charlie Adam In Latics Sights

Blackpool midfield man Charlie Adam is reportedly attracting the interest of both the Latics and Bolton Wanderers after he has made a sensational start to his career in England following his move from Rangers in the summer.

The 23 year old Scotland International has scored 5 goals in 16 appearances for the Championship club and he also has Champions League experience from his time at Rangers where he made 61 appearances and scored 13 goals, he also has 3 Scottish caps.

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway is philosophical about losing Adam, he says: 'The boy wants to get on. He is 23 and what I promised him when he signed was that we were going to get to the Premier League and that hopefully he'd do it with us. If not, then I told him I could help him get there anyway.

'At the end of the day, we are a Championship side, we run a business, and we want to move the business forward.

'If that means sometimes you have to sell your best asset and move it on...

'I am trying to get people who are equally as good if not better.

'The bottom line is that if we do well as a team, then people will look at our players. I can do nothing about that.'
