Lawro Predicts - Latics Vs Sunderland

Former Liverpool defender and current Match of the Day pundit Mark 'Lawro` Lawrenson has done his weekly round of predictions for the BBC and he is predicting that the game between Wigan Athletic and Sunderland at the DW Stadium will end in a home win, lets see what his reasons are:

Wigan Vs Sunderland

Steve Bruce is going back to his old club and I see that him and Wigan owner Dave Whelan have been having a light-hearted joke with each other.

I'll probably go for Wigan because of the 9-1 thrashing they suffered at Spurs on Sunday.

Wigan will want to bounce back - plus the majority of players at the club will want to prove a point to Steve Bruce.

Verdict: 2-1

I agree with Lawro, a home win is on the cards because the defeat last week will have hurt the players, Martinez, the coaching staff, Dave Whelan, the fans and everyone else connected to the club, all pulling together for a 2-0 win for the Latics
