'Come On Wigan` Says Swansea Chairman

Wigan Athletics progress this season is being closely monitored in South Wales where Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins and the rest of his board wish the Latics great success, well for this season at least.

Following both Roberto Martinez and Jason Scotland departing the Liberty Stadium and heading north to the DW Stadium it appears that there is a clause written into the deals and the Latics remaining a Premier League outfit at the end of this season would see a nice little earner going to Swansea.

Speaking to the press Jenkins admitted that there is more than a passing interest in how the Latics do this season but he wouldn`t go into specific details, Jenkins says: "As far as Wigan are concerned, let's just say we were quite happy to see them winning last weekend.'

'We have got an interest in how Wigan do this season, we have got something riding on them staying up.'

When asked are Swansea City's owners closet Wigan fans for the season? Jenkins admitted: 'You might say that'
