Lawro Predicts - Latics Vs Birmingham

Former Liverpool defender and current Match of the Day pundit Mark 'Lawro` Lawrenson has done his weekly round of predictions for the BBC and he is predicting that the game between Wigan Athletic and Birmingham City at the DW Stadium will end in a draw, lets see what his reasons are:

Wigan v Birmingham

This is an interesting match, even though I can't see it being a rip-roarer.

After losing 9-1, Wigan came back to win 1-0 last week and that's probably their best result of the season. They needed a response after the Spurs match and they got one - fair play to them.

But Birmingham have been doing very well of late. Everybody told Alex McLeish he couldn't play one up front but now everybody has settled into the system, he has proven that he can.

I'm going to go for a score draw.

Verdict: 1-1

I am going to disagree here once again Lawro, in my opinion Birmingham have flattered to deceive so far this season and they have been lucky in their last two games snatching 1-0 wins from the very jaws of defeat and though they have lost just once in the last 6 their performances have been very uninspired.

With the 1-0 win over Sunderland last week there is something for the Latics to build upon and I can see us being dominant in this game, I am going for a 2-0 home win for the Latics.
