Bramble - 'Its Important To Meet The Fans'

Wigan Athletic officially opened their new town centre club store yesterday with first team players Charles N`Zogbia and Titus Bramble doing the ribbon cutting and smiling for the camera`s.

Speaking to the clubs official website after doing the honours Titus Bramble revealed how he feels that it is important for the players to get out and meet the fans and he recalled that when he was a youngster back in Ipswich how he loved to go and meet his hero`s.

The 28 year old defender said that it is good to see the smiles on the faces of the youngsters and he loves the opportunity to meet them.

Bramble also said that it is good that the club are showing forward thinking and developing in the right way, he said: 'I think the place is great, I really like it and it shows how forward-thinking we are here at Wigan Athletic. It's great to be expanding our merchandise and giving fans more options'

'When I joined Wigan Athletic it was important to me that the club was showing development and wanting to take themselves to higher levels, which is what we're doing.

'I remember as a kid I always enjoyed meeting players at events like this, and it's great to have seen so many of our fans today and hopefully to have put a smile on their faces.

'The young fans have been really important for us since we joined the Premier League, as have the older generations. We want everybody to come and see us play and their support has been amazing for us this season so far.'
