Wigan Athletic - Jeffrén Suárez on Loan in January

Wigan Athletic along with Everton, Blackburn Rovers and Celtic have been sounded out over the possibility of taking Barcelona wing man Jeffrén Suárez on loan once the transfer window re-opens in January.

The 21 year old Venezuelan born player is being touted around the Premier League in order for him to gain some experience of playing at the top level, so far this season the Spanish under-21 international has made 7 first team appearances for Barcelona but only 3 have been in La Liga and he is finding his chances limited at the moment.

With the Latics having a Spanish speaking manager and a large contingent of Spanish speaking players the DW Stadium is seen as an ideal destination for the former Arsenal transfer target and Suárez is reportedly very keen on swapping Barca to become El Latico
