Hendry Thomas Left Frustrated With Ban

Wigan Athletic midfield man Hendry Thomas says he will be a frustrated spectator this weekend when the Latics travel to the Potteries to take on Stoke City in the early afternoon live Sky fixture.

The Honduras international received his 5th booking of the season in Saturday`s defeat against Birmingham City at the DW Stadium and this brings an automatic one match ban but Thomas reckons his booking was a bit soft.

Speaking to the Wigan Observer Thomas said : 'I am sorry to be missing the Stoke game, but I have complete faith that whoever comes in to replace me will be able to do the job.

'I don't like to talk about refereeing decisions and the bookings I have received, but I felt the yellow card on Saturday was a bit soft.

'The problem for me is that I now have to miss the game next week, which is a big one for us.

'Every player wants to play in every match, and they work hard during the week to be able to play every week.

'But I have to sit this one out - and that's very frustrating for me.'
