Two More Palace Players Linked

With Crystal Palace putting their entire playing staff up for sale there appears to be a lot of interest in some of their stars, the Latics have already put together packages for Moses and Clyne but now according to the Daily Mail Roberto Martinez is interested in midfielder Darren Ambrose and goalkeeper Julian Speroni.

Ambrose seems to have been around forever but is still only 25 and he has made 249 appearances over 9 seasons playing for Ipswich, Newcastle, Charlton and Palace but Julian Speroni is the interesting one in this latest link.

It is well documented that Roberto Martinez is on the look out for a goalkeeper to act as number 2 to Chris Kirkland, with Mike Pollitt approaching retirement and Richard Kingson likely to leave in January a top class keeper is a must for the Latics.

Argentine keeper Julian Speroni is now in his 6th season with Crystal Palace and he has gained a reputation as a fine shot stopper in that period, constantly linked with moves to Premier League clubs

The 30 year old could well be a viable proposition for Martinez to bring to the Latics but it is debatable whether at his age and stage of his career if Speroni would want to be a number 2.
