Vote For Your Latics Man of the Match

Wigan Athletic managed a very creditable 2-2 draw at Stoke yesterday and could have grabbed all three points when they were awarded a last minute penalty, unfortunately leading marksman Hugo Rodallega tamely shot at Sorensons legs and a share of the spoils is what they got.

There was some very good performances for the Latics though, Emerson Boyce had a fantastic first half, heading the Latics into the lead and he got a boot in the head for his troubles, then he bravely soldiered on until half time despite suffering from a lump on his head the size of a tennis ball.

Paul Scharner packed his game full of effort and endeavour and Jordi Gomez had his best 90 minutes in a Latics shirt, Momo Diame was class in the centre of midfield, strong both on the ball and in the challenge.

For me though there could be only one winner, Maynor Figueroa, played well through out, he defended well, supported the attack and his goal was something else, best ever?
