Chimbonda Transfer Request

Wigan Athletic defender Pascal Chimbonda has reportedly handed in a transfer request after the final match of the season with Arsenal.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly offered £4 million but Latics manager Paul Jewell has valued him at £8-10 Million.

27-year-old Pascal signed an improved 4-year contract in November after a good start to the season and was recently named in the PFA team of the season.

Liverpool and Manchester United have also been linked with moves for the French right back.

Whelan has said that we want £6 million for him, and he will be played in the reserves until he either leaves or withdraws his request.

8-10 million is very over rated 6 sounds about right. Dont understand why he has handed in a request though after such a good season

Chimbonda was labelled as a trouble maker by his former club - looks like they weren't lying! At least Wigan are set to make a tidy profit, and they'll be shot of the arrogant moron. Let's hope his future success mirrors that of Nicholas Anelka following his engineered move from Arsenal.

Typical 'johnny foreigner' attitude isn't it. No respect for those that brought him here and gave him a good contract. Its a very selfish world.

Cannot believe the classless way he has gone about his transfer request, you have had a fantastic season, great team, get rid when it's right for you. Teamwork has been one of your major strengths this year, you can replace him and consolidate for next year.

Well played Mr Whelan. If only everybody stuck to letting troublemakers rot in the reserves then maybe they wouldn't be so arrogant.
FEn_100
He would be a good signing for Spurs as our current right back is useless.
