Former Liverpool defender and current Match of the Day pundit Mark 'Lawro` Lawrenson has done his weekly round of predictions for the BBC and he is predicting that the game between Manchester United and Wigan Athletic on Wednesday at the Old Trafford will end in a home win for United, lets see what his reasons are:
Man Utd v Wigan
I can't see any other result apart from a United win. Wigan might feel they can deal with United physically but they will not be able to when it comes to guile.
United at home will have too much for Wigan, who won't see too much of the ball. United might have a few injury concerns but it will not be enough to help Wigan.
Verdict: 2-0
Everything points to a home win, we are low on confidence, not won in four games and near the bottom of the table, but, I am going to say we will raise to the occasion and manage a scrappy 1-1 draw because that`s how inconsistent we are.
Fingers crossed
