Roberto Canella Poised for Wigan Switch

Sporting Gijon left back Roberto Canella is reportedly in several media outlets to be ready to join Wigan Athletic in a deal worth 4 million to the La Liga club.

The 21 year old defender is highly rated and has been capped at every level for Spain bar full international and during the summer Canella was heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Obviously signing the highly rated Canella leads to the conclusion that current left back Maynor Figueroa is set to leave the DW Stadium in the very near future, Sunderland and Spurs are still very much interested in taking the 8 million Honduras international.
