Latics Game in Doubt Pitch Inspection at 8:30 am

Wigan Athletic are set to have a pitch inspection tomorrow morning at 8:30 after was disclosed that the under soil heating at the DW Stadium failed and thrown the game with Aston Villa in doubt.

Club officials are said to be very disappointed and there is an engineer on site trying to remedy the fault but the Latics say that the game is now in doubt.

Speaking to the clubs website Latics boss Roberto Martinez said its down to the referee, Martinez said: 'I have to congratulate our safety team at the stadium who have worked tirelessly to try and clear the area of ice and snow over the past few days. Our ground staff have also spent several nights at the stadium making the sure the pitch remained playable.

'We have to keep our fingers crossed that tonight's frost is not too severe, but a final decision rests with the referee.'

Fingers crossed, but i doubt that the match is going to be played. Its minus 15 here where i live in Norway. Much, much colder than normal.
