Nice One Jay T and The Mail

A big congratulations to Jay T, editor of Wigan Athletic fan site Cockney Latic for getting our side of the story across for once following all the bad press regarding the size of the attendance at the DW Stadium for last weeks FA cup game against Hull City.

Earlier this week there had been some disparaging pieces in the national press concerning the size of the our crowds, most notably by Mick Dennis of the Express and Rob Bagchi of the Guardian, both these so called journalists put out ill informed articles on the Latics full of lazy reporting that drummed out the same old tired clichés that have been around for years.

Now with a push in the right direction from Jay T, Michael Walker from the Mail has written a much more balanced piece that appears as though he has actually done some research and he puts forward a reasoned argument as to the struggles of the Latics in regard to attendances and he also acknowledges the enormous strides that the club has been making over recent years.
