Wigan Athletic - £180K Secures Daniel de Ridder

Wigan Athletic midfield man Daniel de Ridder has finally joined Hapoel Tel Aviv on a six month loan deal after the Latics agreed to accept a payment of £180,000 from the Israeli club for de Ridder`s temporary services.

The former Holland under 21 international hasn`t featured in the Premier League this season under new Latics boss Roberto Martinez and his future is very much away from the DW Stadium.

Thats a signing on fee for somebody
worbo
thats great business we got him on a free and were letting him go on loan for 180k hopefully he impresses and they give us the £10 he's worth.
Nicol467
I think a Mr DW has pulled their pants down with that deal.
pieeater
Its not really great business, his wages would have added up to more than 180k.
centrelink1
I disagree, no other clubs shown any sort of interest in him and if my jugement is right it would cover around 60% of is wages and would enable us to purchase other players of hopefully better quality. I would like to see us try and be a little more audacious and try to sign Sofiane Feghouli in the summer and try to include kapo going the other way!
pieeater
I think the fee was £180 + they pay his wages until June, so its win win
worbo
Best of luck to him.
thayil

pieeater
