Victor Moses Set To Join Wigan Athletic

Wigan Athletic appear to have won the race to sign Crystal Palace teenage sensation Victor Moses with strong indication from both London and Wigan that a bid of £2.5 million has been accepted for the forward.

Moses was linked with a move to the Latics in the summer but it never materialised, fingers crossed that this time Roberto gets his man.

Speaking to the press Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock confirmed that the fee is £2.5 million, Warnock said: "I think it's done. Victor is going to the Premier League and I think £2.5million is a snip for one of the best young players we've got"

"Manchester City should have bought him ages ago instead of messing about, but another Premier League club have made an offer.

"I've spoken to a lot of managers over the last six months and one of the managers who should have taken him in the last window has come to his senses.

"I expect to see Victor do very well in the Premier League and I'm looking forward to watching him."

if he signs perhaps we can turn the chances into goals!! we really need someone who knows where the goal is. Moses will most likely get our number 11 shirt =p

Let me guess, Moses won't be playing for Wigan cos Whelan won't fork out for a tank of petrol to get him here, cheap *****.

Yeah cheers worbo, I'm just still so annoyed at the whole Ruben situation, and even more annoyed with Scotland's missed opportunities. Man, I really hope we can stay up and do some deals in the summer, we've got a pretty damn good starting 11 on paper.

i think whelan did the right thing with ruben , its too much money for what would be a gamble on a 2nd division side. at the end of the day its a buisness and he doesnt want us to go under ( like portsmouth ) fink moses will do well for us ive onlyt seen him on the football league show and he looks quality

Wigan 1-2 Bradford Match Report

Latics dropped to a deserved 1-2 defeat at the hands of Bradford, our first loss at home in the league since March. It was an off-day, defence looked shaky from the off and once Nick Powell went off injured, we never really threatened to score. We are back at the DW on Tuesday against Doncaster Rovers, an opportunity to get back on track.

Paul Cook named an unchanged side from our last league game, with Michael Jacobs returning to the starting line-up.
