Vote For Your Latics Man of the Match Vs Everton

A very frustrating game yesterday, we created enough chances to have won and to concede with just six minutes remaining from yet another set piece was a bitter blow to take.

When the emotions have settled down though and you look back at the game there was some good performances from Latics players, I thought Emerson Boyce was very good, he settled back in to the right back spot with relative ease and I don`t think we missed Melchiot at all, Boyce looked more comfortable on the ball playing than when he is in the middle of defence.

Gary Caldwell, who has taken Boycies place at centre half also had a good game, he brings to the team a dimension that has been lacking this season, organisation, he shouts, points and organises the defence all through the game, its good to see him command the back line the way he does and Caldwell looks like he will be an asset for the Latics

For me though James McCarthy was the man of the match, the young midfield player is grasping his chance in the first team with both hands and yesterday he once again put in a great performance, he was a real bright spark in the Latics midfield.

So McCarthy is my man of the match but who is yours? To vote simply go to the poll on the right side of this page and select your option, then hit the submit button, its that easy.
