Martinez Speaks About The Nonesense
Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez was not a happy man early last week amid rumours that Maynor Figueroa had gone on strike to engineer a move away from the club
Martinez came out and was very critical of Figueroa`s agent and an unnamed Premier League club; he said that the authorities needed to consider the validity of the January transfer window claiming that it gives power to unscrupulous people.
The Latics boss said that the club had rebuffed what he described as two insulting offers for Figueroa from one particular club and says that its all been unsettling.
It is well documented that Sunderland under the managership of former Latics boss Steve Bruce have been chasing Figueroa for the past six months and it was believed that the bids Martinez referred to came from Bruce.
