Momo Diame - Wigan Athletic Man of the Match


Momo Diame has been voted the Wigan Athletic man of the match in Saturdays 1-1 draw with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

The talented midfield man had a good game and topped off his fine performance by scoring his first goal since joining the Latics in the summer from Rayo Vallecano to give his side a 20 minute lead.

Unfortunately the Latics didn`t make the most of further chances and allowed Sunderland back into the game when Kenwyne Jones headed home a 64th minute equaliser, but that didn`t detract from Momo Diame`s excellent form and he has fittingly been voted man of the match on Vital Latics.

For the record the voting was:

Momo Diame - 38%
James McCarthy - 22%
Charles N`Zogbia - 18%

The new poll is available on the right side of this page and its asking who you think will win Tuesdays game with Stoke City at the DW Stadium, personally I feel the Latics will get a comfortable 2-0 victory, Stoke are poor travellers and the chances that we are creating surely have to lead to a win.
