Moses Gets Call Up To Under 21's

Wigan Athletic new boy Victor Moses has been called into the England under 21 squad for the UEFA European Championship Qualifying match against Greece on March 3rd at Doncaster Rovers Keepmoat Stadium.

Having already represented England at under16, 17 and 19 levels this will be a clean sweep for Moses at junior international level and under 21 boss Stuart Pearce has acted quickly to ward off attention from Nigeria who were rumoured to be attempting to attract the young striker with the lure of World Cup football this summer.

Moses joins Latics other young star James McCarthy in receiving international boosts this week, McCarthy has been included in Giovanni Trapattoni's Republic of Ireland full squad to face Brazil at the Emirates Stadium next week

A delighted Latics manager Roberto Martinez says it`s a great honour for the club, speaking to the official site Martinez said: 'This is great news for the club. James and Victor are part of the backbone of our team going forwards into the future, two of the brightest young talents in the game, and it is a huge boost and honour for them personally and for the club to be recognised in this way.'
