Latics Track Egypt International Al Muhammadi

Latics Track Egypt International Al Muhammadi

Wigan Athletic could be about to make a move for their 3rd Egyptian footballer in little over a year with ENPPI right back Ahmed Al Muhammadi following in the footsteps of Amr Zaki and Mido.

The 22 year old international has already acquired 40 caps for his country and he`s been linked with moves to both Sunderland and Blackburn in the last few months, indeed it was reported that Sunderland had agreed a £2 million fee for Al Muhammadi in the last transfer window.

With current Latics right back Mario Melchiot out of contract at the end of the season boss Roberto Martinez will no doubt be scanning the market for his type of player should Wigan decide not to renew Melchiot`s deal at the club and the marauding Al Muhammadi certainly fits the bill on this score.

Nicknamed the Ronaldo of the Middle East the talented player would make a good edition to the Latics squad.
