Wigan Athletic forward Victor Mosses has rubbished reports that he has fallen out with England under 21 manager Stuart Pearce after he didn`t make the match day squad for last weeks European qualifier against Greece.
Reports in some national newspapers claimed that Moses was ready to switch his international allegiance from England to his country of birth Nigeria and that he had issued a `come and watch me` plea to national coach Lars Lagerback in a bid to make the Nigeria 2010 world cup squad.
The 19 year old who joined the Latics in January says that this is totally untrue and he would gladly report for England if he was called up to the squad though he says that playing his club football and settling in at the DW Stadium are the most important things on his mind at the moment.
Speaking to the Wigan Evening Post Moses said: 'I don't know where some people get their stories from, but that was just rubbish.
'I didn't actually see the paper, but my agent called me up and told me what was written. And it really frustrates me when I read stuff about me that is blatantly not true. Because the truth is I didn't say any of it. And I don't know where it has come from either.
'I didn't play for the England Under-21s, but I have not fallen out with Stuart or anyone else.
'And if I were to be called up again, I would be happy to report again. There's no problem whatsoever.'
'To be honest, I'm not even thinking about the international side of things.
'Whatever people are saying about me playing for England or Nigeria, all the stories that are going around, it's not really any of their business.
'I just want to play my football, play well for Wigan and stay focused on that.
'That's the most important thing for me. They are my priority, and whatever happens after that, we'll see.
'But I'm really not thinking about those kind of things at the moment.'![]()
