Roberto Martinez - Every Game Is Massive

Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez says that every game from now on in will be massive but the significance of Saturdays game against relegation rivals Burnley isnt lost on the Latics boss.

Martinez feels the Latics didn`t get what they deserved out of Tuesdays game with Aston Villa at the DW Stadium and he says that a draw would have been a fairer result.

The Latics boss was also quick to heap praise on both Marcelo Moreno and Gary Caldwell who he feels put in sterling displays.

Speaking to the press Martinez says: 'Every game we have left from here on in will be massive. Every point we pick up will be extra significant.

'We have had to regroup again and get ready as a football club for what is an extremely important game.

'We did not deserve to finish with nothing against Villa. The players gave me everything they had and more. It was an even game but we've again been left with a very sour taste. I feel for the players because they do not deserve to be feeling how they are feeling right now.

'Marcelo Moreno, for instance, worked extremely had up front. He was playing against two very good experienced centre-backs and he held the ball up well. This allowed us to move up the pitch.

'Gary Caldwell also deserved a lot of credit because he was a rock again at the back and I was pleased to see the reaction he showed to the Bolton result.'
