What a boring weekend, no Latics game until Monday and there are only so many times you can watch Bolton getting tonked by Man U without feeling dizzy, so rather than get up to mischief I thought I`d browse through youtube for some old classics.
With the season reaching its climax my mind was taken back to 1996, Kevin Keegan was the manager of Newcastle United and they were having real go for the title, that was until Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson started to use his psychological powers to stir a tense Keegan into almost, well not almost he actually did lose it on live TV, take a look:
Keegan rant
Now what you need when the finishing line is in sight is bottle, back in 1990 England left back Stuart Pearce stepped up to take a penalty in the semi final of the World Cup against our owd enemy Germany, poor Pearce smacked his spot kick against the legs of the German keeper and we were on our way home from Italia 90.
Fast forward 6 years to Euro 96 and England are once again involved in a penalty shoot out to progress in a competition, this time the opponents are Spain and the venue Wembley and the eyes of the world are on the penalty takers.
Who steps up to show supreme bottle, you`ve got it Stuart Pearce, now if anyone doubted Pearce`s passion for his country or the guys commitment just watch his reaction after he plants the ball in the back of the net, priceless

Anyway I came across this little montage whilst browsing and there are some clips here that really made me chuckle out loud, the two right at the start aren`t blessed with Pearce`s bottle tough, enjoy:

If you know of any funny clips please dont keep them to yourself, post them in the forum![]()
