'If It's Football, It's Vital'

What The Boss Says - Fulham V Latics

Wigan Athletic travel down to London this weekend to face Fulham on Easter Sunday on the banks of the river Thames in a game that carries a lot more significance for the Latics than the Cottagers.

The Wigan gaffer Roberto Martinez has spoken to the press ahead of the game and he just wants his side to keep being brave and play with intensity, lets see what he said:

'Craven Cottage is going to be a tough place to visit because Fulham have been very strong at home this season, both domestically and in European competitions.

'But I think we've shown no fear this season, wherever we've gone this season we've gone there with a brave attitude and we need to continue that, showing the same qualities we had in the first half-hour at Eastlands.

'Fulham have been able to adapt themselves to the demands of a busy season playing many games. They've coped very well to those demands and will be very ready for Sunday's game, and we'll have to be ready for what will be a very challenging game.

'We need to show the same intensity in our play that we've shown lately and with the right mentality we'll get the rewards."

Fulham are a very good side under Hodgson but they must be very tired with the number of games played recently, either he'll make changes and weaken them a little or put out his strongest side who'll be tired and have one eye on Thursdays return in Germany, either way we'll get at least a point....where's them straws!!!
