Latics Shirt Signing Day Success - Photos

Latics Shirt Signing Day Success - Photos

Wigan Athletic opened the doors to the 'Players Lounge` at the DW Stadium yesterday (Friday) and Latics fans young and old took full advantage of a shirt signing session by the full Latics squad with a very large turn out making it a highly successful occasion.

I went down to the club and bought my £15 replica shirt and joined the queue, unfortunately due to 'other` commitments I couldn`t hang around and with the event slightly over running I had to get away before the doors opened so it was left to Vital member Carole Moorhouse better known on Latics Sepyk as Cazwick and her trusty camera to supply some excellent photo`s and she was certainly impressed with the squad, especially Marcello Moreno who she still hasn`t stopped talking about.

A fantastic gesture from the club and its great to see that under the new regime the Latics have definitely opened their doors both metaphorically and literally to the supporters with some great initiatives this season.

Nice one

This was a cracking afternoon. I managed a bit of personal Banter with Mike Pollit over an earlier meeting we had at the Bolton game, when I was slightly worse for wear, and though I pretended to hide my face, Mike spotted me yet again. Good fun. All the lads were chatty and accommodating and I hope Wigan do it again. Well done to the club. It was a great leveller, between fans and players, and has served only to re-enforce my absolute support for the team in the run up to end of season.

Its a shame I live in Basingstoke and not up there as I can't get to these events normally but I'm going to make an extra special effort to get to at least one home game before the end of the season.
