Titus Bramble Clocks 100 For The Latics

Wigan Athletic defender Titus Bramble became the clubs latest centurion when he clocked his 100th game for the Latics recently when played in the Premier League clash against Manchester City at Eastlands.

The big defender who was signed from Newcastle United back in June 2007 has been an almost ever present in the Latics back line serving under 3 different managers and along side various partners in the heart of the defence.

Speaking to the clubs official website Bramble says he wasn`t aware he`d reached the milestone as his time at Wigan as gone really quickly but he says he is looking forward to the next 100 appearances, Bramble said: 'I wasn't aware of that to be honest. I can remember making my debut for the club against Everton back in 2007, but since then everything's gone by really quickly.

'Players come and go very frequently nowadays so to pass that milestone is a great feeling, and I'm looking forward to the next hundred games.

'The season before last we beat Aston Villa 2-0 to survive at the end of the season and that was a great feeling. If we can get a couple more wins under our belts this campaign and do the same again it would be a great feeling.

'It was always going to be a tough challenge with a new manager coming in and changing the style of the club altogether. The aim at the beginning was of course to stay in the Premier League and progress on from there.

'The key to making that happen is hard-work. We need to get our heads down as a team, go back to basics and make sure we get everything right in order to win games.'
