Vote For Your Latics Man of the Match

Wigan Athletic made a magnificent comeback to beat Arsenal after trailing 2-0 with just 10 minutes of the game remaining, it`s the first time in 11 years that Arsenal have let slip a 2 goal lead to lose a game.

There was some mighty fine performances all over the park today for the Latics, Ben Watson put in a great shift following his first Premier League start in a year and he got the goal that started the recovery when he coolly slotted home from 12 yards on 80 minutes.

The goal was of course laid on by Victor Moses who replaced Marcelo Moreno on 62 minutes and the young forward played a pivotal role in Latics revival causing havoc down the Arsenal right side and putting Clichy under lots of pressure.

At the back both Steve Gohouri and Titus Bramble stepped up to the mark and Bramble snatched the equalising goal on 89 mins when he headed home a corner after Fabianski in the Arsenal goal flapped at the cross.

Charles N`Zogbia scored a scorching winner just as added on time was starting and the little Frenchman was a threat all afternoon

In midfield both James McCarthy and Momo Diame had very good games and at the final whistle it was tough to separate the good performances and pick a man of the match but I`m going for Ben Watson who I thought once he`d got up to the pace of the game was magnificent.

Who was your man of the match?

Paul Merson for me. If your boys heard his comments on Sky prior to the game, it was no wonder you came back with ten minutes to go. Brilliant! Well done, and it's one in the eye for those arrogant poodlefakers from Woolwich.
