Latics to Make Scott Sinclair a Permanent Move

According to a little bird Wigan Athletic are considering making loanee Scott Sinclair a permanent signing if they can get Chelsea to either release him on a free or let him go for a nominal fee.

Although he has only started one Premier League game since joining in the summer Sinclair as been a regular on the bench this season making 16 substitute appearances and as such it appears that Latics boss Roberto Martinez views the youngster as an impact player.

Undoubtedly talented with great speed and a direct approach Sinclair like most wingers has lacked consistency which seems to be a problem when you consider that the Latics are his 8th club and he only turned 21 in March.

Hopefully if Sinclair does join permanently the faith being shown in him just might be the spur that his career needs and he can go on to fulfil some of his unquestionable potential, obviously Martinez has seen something that he likes in the winger.

I still think that he will improve some, even with minimal outside help. He has moments both good and bad, and with good coaching he could be very dangerous (possibly a "good piece of business" for DW in a few years...) but is our staff quality enough to help him progress?
