A Look Back in Time.

A Look Back in Time.

By Fazman

Just as Ol` Blue Eyes sang "And now the end is near", so it is for us at Latics that we reach the final two hurdles of our own personal Grand National. Some of us will feel like that horse that has had to push and push to find that little bit extra to finish in style whilst others will be like Tony McCoy elated at crossing the line after a long race.

The Grumpier posters will argue that some of you are like King Johns Castle and should have been left at the starting line or that some of the complainers are like an amateur on the back of a favourite causing more problems than solutions.

For me we`ve done what was expected and stayed up yet again and now it`s the time to take a look back over the season and see what we have actually achieved and maybe even take a look to the future.

If it`s ok with you lot, what I`d like to do over the course of the next two weeks is break down the season into more manageable bits.

I`m going to take the time to look at different topics such as:

Seasonal Expectations and Targets.
Transfers In and Out.
Players.
Manager and Coaching staff.
Tactics.
The press.
Off field promotion and the club in general.
Defeats.
Victories.
Youth.
Into the Future.
The Forum.

Plus anymore I can think of before the end of the season or any that are volunteered to me to discuss. You know I`ve got an opinion on just about anything!

Well anyway I hope that over the next 2 weeks you join me and enjoy what I`ve written, plus I hope it will give us lots to talk about on a great site that is a real credit to Barry.

I`d also like to take this opportunity to say a great thanks to Worbo for running the board and of course a thanks to all the members for making everyone feel so welcome especially Zakky, Zakidaman, Baskers, Latham, J_Mo, Avant, Centre, Sprayzen and of course anyone else that I have forgotten after all any forum is only as good as its active members!
